Lakes Canoe and Mountain Expedition
This week long trip is a journey on foot and by canoe across the Lake District National Park. We will start in the Langdale valley and hike carrying a rucksac with tents and food into a high mountain camp for 2 nights. It's an idyllic spot next to a small mountain tarn (lake). We will hike up Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain and then walk out to Derwent water Lake. We will meet our fleet of canoes here and then canoe to an island to camp. We carry all our supplies in our 2 man canoes and paddle down the lake and then the River Derwent before finishing on Bassenthwaite Lake. You will not need to be an experienced canoeist or hill walker -We are looking for enthusiasm and self motivation the rest you will pick up on the way.

The Great Glen Canoe Expedition
This classic trip is ideal for students who want a first time experience of open canoe journeying and camping in some of the finest Scottish scenery. The journey starts in Fort William paddling and sailing to Inverness along the rivers, lochs and canals under the impressive Ben Nevis mountain range. Camping will be on islands and headlands in a wild and remote setting. Ghyll head has run this trip 4 times and it is fantastic.
Check the 2006 Great Glen Blog for an idea of what to expect on this trip.

Canoe journey from Source to Sea along the River Spey in Scotland
This expedition is for young people that have experience of canoe journeying and have previous camping expedition experience. The trip starts in the Cairngorm mountains hiking to the start of the river Spey. We then put on the river at its most paddle-able point and travel the 120km down to Spey Bay and the sea. Each day the river builds in size as more tributaries join and eventually some grade 2-3 rapids are encountered. This trip builds white water confidence and skill level and is a great progression for people with previous experience.
