Ghyll Head is an old family house in 17 acres of wooded grounds.On the east side of Lake Windermere, 3 miles from the nearest town.
The house includes accommodation with thirty student beds there are separate twin rooms for accompanying staff. Together with the new Bungalow extension we are now able to accommodate groups of up to 50 people.

There is a lounge, games room, lecture room with interactive whiteboard, TV/video and slide facilities and a large drying area.

The Centre has a well stocked store, with a wide range of quality equipment, including rucksacks, waterproofs and field study instruments.

The Centre also has a great reputation for good food which is vey well recieved especially after an active day in the hills..
